Plans for a romantic wedding anniversary in Paris took a terrifying turn for a couple from Chappaqua.
With their two young children at home in Westchester, Meryl and Jason Lefkowtiz were celebrating their 10th wedding anniversary in Paris when the terror attacks began to unfold around them.
"It's a frightening thing when you are in a country, you don't speak the language, you have no one to go to," Meryl Lefkowitz said. "We didn't know anyone. We were basically on our own."
The couple is set to return from London on Monday.
