A new supervisor was sworn-in in Cortlandt Sunday to take over for Linda Puglisi – who retired after 30 years in office.
Dr. Richard Becker, who has lived his entire adult life in Westchester practicing medicine. He will be facing some big challenges - including helping the town recover from the pandemic and the loss of the Indian Point nuclear power plant, which closed last spring.
"…Rather than be dependent on a single company, we're going to have a lot more boutique companies coming in... there's a new administration coming in for the first time in 30 years and that always brings new vitality and new energy and we're just all excited to dig in," Becker says.
Sen. Chuck Schumer and County Executive George Latimer attended the swearing-in ceremony.
