Cerebral Palsy of Westchester is getting a new addition to its organization with help from the state.
Last week, the nonprofit received a $150,000 grant from Sen. Shelley Mayer ( D-37).
The state funding will be used to build CPW's new Bridge Training Center, expanding its prevocational programs offering work-based and life skills to high school and adult participants.
The new center will be housed in a newly renovated building on CPW's Rye Brook campus.
Despite the new grant, Cerebral Palsy of Westchester is still accepting donations for the project. Interested contributors can donate on the organization's website.
