Centro de Amigos, a Spanish-language social club for seniors, alongside City Drug Pharmacy held a vaccination clinic Saturday for free vaccines and education in Spring Valley.

The vaccinations included those for COVID-19, RSV and the flu.

Free educational materials were provided. There was also a McDonald's gift card raffle.

Organizers expected to see anywhere between 30 to 50 people coming in.

Pharmacy manager and pharmacist Jose Pichardo emphasized the importance of the event, saying vaccines are vital to the health and safety of the community.

“This is the second event that we held here in the pharmacy to provide education, provide trust with the community and provide the vaccines with no cost," said Pichardo.

For those unable to make today's event, visit Centro de Amigos' website for its next clinic.
