CDC study: COVID-19 vaccine still protects against death, hospitalization

According to two new CDC studies, COVID-19 vaccines remained highly effective during the Omicron surge.
The study found the vaccines protected against hospitalization and death from COVID-19.
At the peak of the Omicron variant, data showed unvaccinated adults were 12 times more likely to be hospitalized than adults who were vaccinated and boosted.
For those who received their booster shot, vaccine efficacy was 95% for the Delta variant, and 94% for Omicron.
