2 dogs rescued from dire conditions in Bronx basement

The New York City Second Chance Rescue said the dogs, now named Ren and Stimpy, were found surrounded by urine and feces after their owner became terminally ill and allegedly left them behind.

Man arrested in 2 NYC homicides after weeklong manhunt

Jesus Acosta, 31, was taken into custody on Saturday morning, following a weeklong manhunt. Police say an anonymous tip led them to Acosta, who was inside a park in Soundview near Watson and Morrison avenues.
