News 12 learned of a serious crash in Carmel Friday evening.
It happened around 6 p.m. at the intersection of Union Valley Road and West Lovell Avenue.
The crash closed the road for nearly two hours.
There is no word on the cause of the crash, how many people were involved or the extent of their injuries.
Neighbors who live near the intersection say it’s dangerous and it’s been a problem spot for years.
Hugo Pasato and his family live directly next to the intersection. They say they've seen multiple crashes in the last few years, but said this one is different. He said he’s never seen a car flipped over at this intersection.
Pasato said he even gets nervous about letting his kids outside on the front lawn. He said crashes in the past have happened on his property.
He said something needs to be done to make this intersection safer.
“It has to stop. There’s been so many ongoing incidents here. I’ve been here like four years and this might be the thirteenth accident since I bought this property. It’s a really bad intersection,” Pasato said.
