Carmel police crack down on quality-of-life complaints
Carmel police say its officers are enforcing quality-of-life laws following a swath of recent complaints.
In the past two weeks, officers have issued multiple summonses for issues including soliciting without a permit and illegal dumping.
In one case, an officer found a man playing a fake violin with a loudspeaker at Mahopac Village Center, but he didn't have a permit.
Officers also issued a summons to someone living on Scott Road for illegal dumping on Bullet Hole Road.
The police department explained the recent crackdown in a Facebook post.
