People living in a Valley Cottage neighborhood were without electricity after a car plowed into a utility pole this morning. Police say the accident happened at about 10 a.m. near the intersection

People living in a Valley Cottage neighborhood were without electricity after a car plowed into a utility pole this morning.
Police say the accident happened at about 10 a.m. near the intersection of Old Mill and Branchville roads.
The driver was taken to the hospital as a precaution. Police are investigating the cause of the accident.
Repair crews from Orange and Rockland Utilities are replacing the pole and re-hanging the wires.
