A car salesman is accused of stealing customers' identities at the Rockland Nissan dealership on Route 303 in Blauvelt.
Police say John Pagliaroli, of Blauvelt, opened two credit card accounts last week using the personal information of customers.
He then allegedly charged more than $3,000 on those accounts.
Pagliaroli is charged with forgery, grand larceny and identity theft.
Rockland Nissan general manager Tim Okeefe says he fired the five-year employee as soon as he found out.
Pagliaroli returns to Orangetown Justice Court in December.
Experts suggest consumers keep a close eye out for any unusual bank statements and credit card bills, especially during this busy spending season.
