An elderly Pine Bush man was killed in a one-car crash on State Route 52 in the town of Shawangunk.
The crash occurred when a Honda, traveling at a high rate of speed, crossed the double yellow line, left the roadway, hit a utility pole, and overturned multiple times before striking a tree, according to New York State Police.
The driver, 86-year-old Bernard Pohl, was the sole occupant of the vehicle.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
