A car that landed on the Metro-North train track in Pleasantville is causing cancellations.

Pleasantville police say a person in the parking lot above the tracks, drove off the side and landed on the tracks.

Police say there were two people in the vehicle, and they were quickly removed and taken to a hospital.

Both are in stable condition, according to officials.

There is apparent damage to the tracks, and repairs will need to be made before the track can reopen.

The vehicle has been removed from the tracks and MTA crews are starting repairs.

The MTA says the 2:51 p.m. train from Grand Central to Mount Kisco is canceled at North White Plains. It says customers will be accommodated by the 2:49 p.m. train from Grand Central to Southeast, making additional stops from Valhalla to Chappaqua.

The MTA says there is service through the Pleasantville area with one track operating.
