A car slammed into a utility pole and knocked it over on Route 9A near Stormytown Road early Monday morning.
According to police, the one-car accident occurred at around 12:45 a.m. The female driver was not injured.
ConEd crews worked throughout the night to ensure the busy road would be open for the morning commute. Traffic was diverted while the crews made temporary repairs. The road was reopened just after 6 a.m.
ConEd is expected to be on the scene later Monday to make permanent repairs.
