Fire crews in Port Chester are responding to a fire at a junkyard on Traverse Avenue.
Officials say they initially received a report of a crane fire.
When they got to the scene, they found a car inside a dumpster on fire, and no cranes were on fire.
Witnesses say they saw fire and smoke on the property around 2:30 p.m.
Fire crews were able to get it under control quickly.
No one was injured and there is no word on the cause.
