Some car owners are still in shock Monday after they awoke to the smell of burning tires and the sight of their cars engulfed in flames.

According to police, someone set a vehicle on fire overnight in Eastchester. That car was completely destroyed and another car that was parked in front was damaged. A resident says it was quite a sight around 2:30 a.m. on Bellew Avenue.

Police say a third vehicle was also set ablaze overnight in nearby Tuckahoe. A white rag was found stuffed in the gas tank at that location.
