Caesars has opened up an office in Highland Mills amid its bid to open a casino in New York.
The company plans to build a casino and resort on land next to Route 17, south of Woodbury Commons.
Before any construction can begin, the New York State Gaming Commission has to give its approval to as many as four casinos spread around the state.
The Catskills and the Hudson Valley are expected to get one of the casinos, but the state isn't expected to announce where the sites will be until sometime this fall.
