A Bronx family claims they were victims of police brutality. They say it started when police officers followed the son, Hector, back to their Bronx apartment because he did not have id with him. Neighbors say the scene inside the building was right out of a nightmare. A witness says police from the 44th precinct were fighting with three minors while their Mother, Carmen Pena, lay wheezing in handcuffs on the floor. According to police, the officers were responding to complaints of drug use and noise in the building. Everyone in the household was cuffed and taken to the precinct but police say only two were officially arrested that night. Police charged the son, Hector Ayala, and his 13-year-old sister with assault of a police officer, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.
