From snowbrushes to shovels, businesses in Hawthorne cashed in ahead of this weekend's anticipated storm.
Workers at Berger Hardware said they've been ready since October, and that a mild winter hasn't been good for business. They said this weekend's best-seller would be ice melt.
"In order to keep my lights on, the doors open and pay my employees, we do need the snow," said manager Chris Rubeo.
Plow owners like Dennis Adams were looking forward to some snow business, too.
"You just kind of gear up for snow and keep plowing snow, it's like time to make the doughnuts," said Adams.
