Businesses in the Hudson Valley are taking a hit as all non-essential workers have been ordered to stay home.

The Business Council of Westchester is helping business leaders figure out what are non-essential businesses and where to access aid like disaster loans.

Allison Madison is the president of a staffing agency in Westchester.

"We have had a couple of people that have had to be displaced because of it, but I'm doing my best to place them in the areas where there is a hire need, like in the health care settings," said Madison.

The Business Council of Westchester is working to connect business owners with valuable resources including small business disaster relief loans. Its website breaks down each new federal and state policy so business owners know if they are impacted and what options they have.

Dr. Marsha Gordon, president of the council, says the council is offering its services to both members and non-members, as well as large and small businesses.
