Brazen burglars went underground to break into two stores along a busy street in Yonkers.
The owners of a nail salon and luncheonette on Lockwood Avenue discovered Sunday morning that burglars had made their way into the stores.
The nail salon owner says the thieves somehow went underground and climbed through a hole in the wall of her bathroom. Her store and basement are right next to the luncheonette.
Police say nothing was taken from the salon, but cartons of cigarettes and cash were taken from the luncheonette.
In addition to increased patrols, police say they will use any fingerprint and DNA evidence they have to track down the burglars.
