Antonio Robles-Sanchez, a Brooklyn resident accused in a fatal DWI crash that killed a 65-year-old Hartsdale woman, has been sentenced to 2-6 years in prison.
Robles-Sanchez admitted to smoking crack before the August 2023 crash, which occurred at the intersection of Rockledge Road and East Hartsdale Avenue.
Stephanie Kavourias, a longtime manager of the Hartsdale Parking Authority, was struck and killed. Her death sparked community outrage and led to safety improvements, including red-light cameras at the intersection.
Robles-Sanchez initially faced 1 1/3 to 4 years in prison after pleading guilty to vehicular manslaughter, leaving the scene, criminally negligent homicide and DWI.
However, Judge George Fufidio increased the sentence due to concerns over Robles-Sanchez's lack of remorse.
