Ellenville police say Burec Stein left juveniles inside a condemned building without adult supervision last week.
The old restaurant had no running water, unsanitary conditions and baby chickens inside.
Central Hudson has since cut the power and boarded up the building to prevent unlawful entry.
The chickens are being moved to another place where they can receive proper care.
