A Bronx man is sharing his story of being stabbed exclusively with News 12, two days after being released from the hospital.
He wanted to remain anonymous, in fear of those who harmed him.
"One of them chased me and he managed to just kick me to the ground. So I would stop running. And that's when he stabbed me," said the victim.
He spent four nights in the hospital. He says his liver was nicked during the attack and his attackers still out there.
He says he was approached by a group of six masked men last Tuesday night.
“I wasn't trying to think too much of it. Maybe they just needed the time. I just gave him the time," he said.
He quickly realized they wanted much more.
"That's just when it just went downhill from there," he said.
He says he was surrounded and forced to give up his phone, wallet and headphones.
“They were just trying to hit me and I just gave it to them after I realized they weren't going to stop," he said
He ran home to escape his attackers. HIs fingerprints still on the window from begging for help.
“I heard the banging on the window and him saying ambulance open, I jumped right away. I opened the door," said the victim's uncle.
His uncle was able to apply pressure to the wound while they waited for the ambulance.
The victim says he now walks around his neighborhood in fear, while police search for the six people responsible for the attack.
