Bronx man arrested for drunk driving in Yorktown over holiday weekend

A Bronx resident, 58-year-old Michael Rivera, faces charges after reportedly driving while intoxicated in Yorktown over the Christmas holiday.
According to the Yorktown Police Department, Rivera was driving a car on its rim around 12:45 a.m. on Christmas Eve.
Police encountered the vehicle traveling south on Old Yorktown Road at the Taconic State Parkway overpass. Upon stopping the car, officers observed signs of Rivera being intoxicated. Subsequent tests revealed his blood alcohol content to be over 0.18%.
Rivera was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated and aggravated driving while intoxicated. He received tickets for these charges and was released. He is scheduled to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on Jan. 4.
