Bronx man accused of stealing ambulance, leading police on chase in

Westchester police say 47-year-old Matthew Chacko stole the emergency vehicle around 5 a.m. Thursday.

Police say a Bronx man stole a Mount Sinai ambulance from a New York City hospital and then led officers on a chase in Westchester.
Police say 47-year-old Matthew Chacko stole the emergency vehicle around 5 a.m. Thursday.
Troopers spotted the ambulance traveling northbound in Tarrytown and attempted a traffic stop. 
Authorities say Chacko failed to comply.
After a slow-speed pursuit, the police used a tire deflation device to stop the ambulance on the Gov. Mario M. Cuomo Bridge.
Chacko faces multiple felonies, including grand larceny and criminal possession of stolen property.
