Bridgeport man arrested for series of violent robberies targeting women

Mills is alleged to have sexually assaulted one woman and robbed three others during the incidents.

Cecil Mills, a resident of Bridgeport, has been apprehended by law enforcement officials following a string of violent robberies targeting women on Saturday morning.
According to police reports, Mills was taken into custody after a sequence of events including a vehicle pursuit, crash, and foot chase that culminated near the intersection of North and Madison Avenues.
Mills is alleged to have sexually assaulted one woman and robbed three others during the incidents. He purportedly followed all of the women in a stolen Toyota Camry. Additionally, a fourth woman reported to police that Mills intentionally struck her car in Seaside Park.
The authorities have provided a timeline of events: the first robbery was reported around 7 a.m., followed by the second robbery and sexual assault just before 10:30 a.m., and the third robbery occurred around 11:15 a.m. The victims ranged in age from 22 to 52 years old.
During the robberies, Mills is said to have stolen cash, cell phones, and other electronics from the victims. Many of these items were discovered in the stolen Camry after it crashed, along with a substantial quantity of narcotics.
