Brewster Sports Center has officially closed its doors.

The center's last day of operations was Thursday.

"Circumstances compel us to move on with the closure of the center," a statement on the facility's website says. "With heartfelt gratitude, we thank all our customers, teams, coaches, players and parents who helped us create a special place for sports competition."

Brewster Sports Center had been in business for 15 years.

If you're heading down to add a little sparkle to the season max. Absolutely. It'll be tightly packed together too, so it'll be a little bit warmer feeling down there. But I mean, this is another cold day and just to kind of point out here today, it's the really cold feel tomorrow a bit better. Still going to be a slight chill in the air for Thursday. We expect there to be a little bit of a chill around this time of the year. Right. We're almost to December after all. But today still feeling like the twenties tomorrow will feel like the upper thirties to low forties into the afternoon. Certainly heading in the right direction tomorrow. In terms of what to wear from here on out today, temperatures at best today are in the thirties, but with that breeze at 10 to 20 MPH, you definitely need the heavy coat, the hat, the gloves, a few extra layers, make sure all the extremities are covered. So you're a bit more comfortable as you even, uh, head to and from the car and that sort of thing, uh, throughout the afternoon, especially if, if you have to be out for any prolonged stretch. If you're working outside or anything like that, you really want to make sure you're covered in multiple layers tonight tonight. Back down into the mid twenties, the wind thankfully is not too strong overnight. Tonight, it's light at around 5 to 10 MPH, but that's enough to make it feel like the upper teens to lower twenties into early tomorrow morning. So tomorrow afternoon, middle and upper forties for those actual daytime, highs winds at around 5 to 15 MPH can make it feel closer to 40 or so during the afternoon hours. But even still, that's a far cry from the teens and twenties. Those feels like temperatures have been yesterday and today. So I want to also draw your attention to some rain moving in for Friday. This is not a super soaker of a storm or anything like that on Friday and Friday even starts off dry. But as we head towards around noon time on Friday, there will be rain showers developing across the Hudson Valley and this is mostly at worst moderate rain showers. A lot of this will be light and we expect rainfall totals to be around or under a quarter of an inch with this. This is not a ton of rain, there will not be flooding and think of it as kind of off and on periods of rain from around noon time on, on a through around seven or so in the evening. But this is nothing that's going to really lead to any da damage or anything like that. No, widespread flooding. Just something that we're watching in terms of some on and off periods of showers Friday afternoon and early evening, Saturday, the drier half of the weekend, mostly cloudy, upper forties could be a couple of showers. Sunday. Better chance for showers will actually arrive on Monday if anything, Tuesday of next week, an isolated shower before drier weather pushes right back in for next Wednesday through Friday with highs mostly in the forties.
