A 3-month-old puppy is looking for a 'fur'-ever home.

Casey was rescued by a shelter in Texas by “Snarr Northeast,” an animal rescue group based in Brewster.

Rescuers say he sustained an injury to his paw which caused severe nerve damage, and ended up chewing off his own paw.

Casey needs to get the rest of the paw amputated and will need about three blood transfusions before he can go into surgery.

Once Casey heals and makes his way to Westchester County, he will be available for adoption.

If you're interested in donating, or learning more about adopting, you can check Snarr Northeast's website.
