A Brentwood man was sentenced Wednesday to 15 years in prison for trying to kill his ex-wife while she stopped at the window of a Bay Shore McDonald's drive-thru.

The Suffolk County district attorney says she was outside the restaurant on Nov. 2, 2024 when Willie Curry approached her and stabbed her over 20 times.

Prosecutors say as Michelle Price screamed for help, Good Samaritans in nearby vehicles and inside the restaurant called 911 and shouted for Curry to stop. He was arrested near the scene a short time later.

Officials say one day prior to the attack, she obtained an order of protection against Curry from family court.

Price spoke exclusively with News 12 days after that attack, showing the extent of her injuries to her neck, face, chest, legs and hands. Price had to get numerous staples and stiches for her injuries.

Curry, 36, pleaded guilty in June to attempted murder.
