Breezy and warm today on Long Island with limited chance of rain

I hope you have been enjoying this stretch of mostly great weather! That said, Long Island does need some rain soon - there just is not much of any significance in the foreseeable future.

There will be a few brief showers possible overnight tonight after 10 p.m. and through the pre-dawn hours tomorrow, but much of Long Island will stay dry. Our next rain chance after that is Saturday, but that looks like very spotty rain, too and far from the significant rain we need.
This means outdoor plans are mostly a go for a while! Just be sure to have an umbrella on Saturday with a few off and on periods of rain. Sunday through next week looks mostly dry and more comfortable again.
