The Westchester County Health Department has issued a boil water advisory for about 150,000 people who live in seven Sound Shore communities serviced by United Water.
The advisory takes effect Wednesday in Bronxville, Eastchester, New Rochelle and Tuckahoe.
It also applies to the Town of Pelham, the Village of Pelham, and Pelham Manor.
The boil water advisory was issued because the New York City Department of Environmental Protection will be doing scheduled maintenance of its chlorination system.
