A fast moving fire damaged a Pound Ridge home overnight.
Fire officials say the flames broke before 11 p.m. Sunday at the home on Long Ridge Road. It took around 100 firefighters about two and a half hours to get the blaze under control.
A couple and their two children were able to get out safely. The home is also a horse farm but the animals were in the stable and were not affected by the fire.
The homeowners tell News 12 that the fire started near ventilation equipment and that nearby fireworks may have sparked the blaze. They say there's extensive damage to the roof and the back of the home but it's not a total loss. The family is staying at a nearby home of relatives.
The Westchester Cause and Origin team is investigating.
