Central Park finally saw above freezing temperatures breaking the nine day streak of below 32 degrees we have been dealing with. Another piece of good news? Sunsets are after 5:15 pm starting on Tuesday.
Temperatures are slightly less awful as we progress throughout this week bringing above freezing highs for a few days. This will help some with stubborn icy spots, and will allow some initial melting of the snow piles.
Temperatures are significantly better Tuesday night into Wednesday, but teens return for Wednesday night through Friday night and worsen into the weekend. This is simply a brief break from the bitter cold, but by no means is it warm out there.
Snow chances are possible twice in this workweek. There's the chance of a few stray flurries Tuesday night into early Wednesday morning -- nothing major. Friday night we're tracking the potential for some light snow as well. Other than that, a combination of sunshine and clouds over the next few days.
