Wind Advisory For Western Ulster County From 1 p.m. until 1 p.m. Tuesday

Winds may gust over 40 MPH at times in the higher portions of the Catskills.

Dense Fog Advisory For Sullivan County in effect now until 10 a.m. this morning

Visibility may be reduced to ¼ mile or less at times.

A storm system approaches the Northeast today, and it's warm front has already moved through the Hudson Valley. Temps have slowly been on the rise.

Patchy fog is around through the morning hours, with visibility being lowered from time to time. Take it easy on the roadways.

Light showers move in towards the 7-10 AM hours, which will help to melt some of the snow still hanging around from Friday night's snow storm.

As the system's cold front passes by, the temperatures will start to drop as the winds pick up. Any lingering moisture on untreated surfaces has a chance to refreeze into an icy glaze. Black ice will be a concern for Tuesday morning.

Gusty winds will hang around through Tuesday and New Year's Eve on Wednesday. They will make the temps feel frigid at times.

Another cold front will approach early New Year's Day morning, not too long after the Ball Drop, reinforcing a chill in the air. At least the gusty winds will be removed from the picture.

Cold temps will hang around into Friday. A gradual warmup to seasonal temps will happen by Monday.
