Bicyclist seriously injured by minivan in Chestnut Ridge

A bicyclist was rushed to the hospital Tuesday night after being hit by a vehicle in Chestnut Ridge.
Ramapo police say the accident happened on Chestnut Ridge Road between Old Nyack Turnpike and Tallman Place.
Sources say the 40-year-old Spring Valley man taken to Westchester Medical Center with serious but  non-life threatening injuries. He is listed in stable condition.
The driver of the minivan stayed at the scene. No summonses have been issued.
Chestnut Ridge Road was closed for several hours, but it is back open this morning.
