Family and friends mourned a long-time Yonkers teacher today.
The somber sound of bagpipes filled the air as the community gathered at St. Anthony's Church to say their final goodbyes to Thomas Flynn.
Flynn, who died of natural causes at the age of 83, was a school teacher for more than 30 years and a member of the Yonkers Historical Society.
He is remembered as a devoted husband and a loving father of three. "He volunteered at different organizations like nursing homes. He was just a good person and we're really going to miss him," says Yonkers Police Commissioner Charles Gardner.
