A beloved grocery store, Mike's Organic, has officially closed its doors after serving the community for 13 years.

The store, with locations in Greenwich and Stamford, Connecticut, situated near the New York border, shut down Sunday.

Mike's Organic began its journey in 2009 when founder Mike Geller launched the business as one of the pioneering farm-to-home delivery services in America. Over time, the business expanded to include storefronts, which quickly became favorites in the state.

However, challenges such as inflation and rising food costs eventually forced Geller to make the difficult decision to close the stores. Despite the closure, the impact of Mike's Organic on the community has been profound, with Geller making significant contributions to the local area.

"It's tough to see a beautiful corner like this that's going to change its purpose, but that's life. He's made an improvement to this community, to this piece of the road," remarked one community member reflecting on the closure.

The closure of Mike's Organic was met with an outpouring of support from the community, with hundreds of customers gathering Sunday to express their appreciation and bid farewell to the store.
