Bankrupt sports complex sold for $4M
A bankrupt sports complex in Warwick could soon reopen now that it's been sold at auction.
Town officials say The Yard Sports Village, a sports training complex featuring athletic fields and dormitories, was purchased Tuesday for $4 million by a "sports-oriented group."
The 36-acre complex on State School Road has been closed during bankruptcy proceedings.
The site was once the home of the Mid-Orange Correctional Facility.
