A post-christening celebration turned near fatal at a New Rochelle park Sunday.
Police say Frank Cooks and Don Greaves were at the Glen Island Park party when the pair got into an argument. Greaves allegedly stabbed the 40-year-old in the stomach. The suspect then sped off in his car, but police say they caught him a short time later after a manhunt. Investigators are still trying to determine what caused the dispute.Greaves was arraigned Monday on assault charges. Cooks is recovering at Jacobi Medical Center.
Park patrons say the incident was isolated and that they feel safe. "Maybe they had too much to drink," says Angela Foley. "It's a family thing it's not someone trying to rob someone."
