As the U.S. Supreme Court heard arguments Wednesday that many feel could impact Roe v. Wade, authorities in the Hudson Valley were investigating an incident at a White Plains abortion clinic.

News 12 was told an anti-abortion group gained access to the White Plains clinic and allegedly harassed staff and patients inside.

While the incident sheds light on the tensions surrounding abortion, photos show three men carried out of a White Plains women's health care clinic in handcuffs.

It happened Saturday, and the anti-abortion group involved says activists were inside the facility for two hours before being forced to leave.

The incident has alarmed abortion rights supporters.

Catherine Lederer-Plaskett, with the Westchester Coalition for Legal Abortion, says she fears more incidents like this are to come as the Supreme Court heard oral arguments on a Mississippi law banning abortions after 15 weeks.

"We are witnessing today at the Supreme Court a total disrespect, a total desire to ignore the rights of women," says Lederer-Plaskett.

The conservative-leaning Supreme Court could scale back or reverse the landmark decision in Roe v. Wade, which legalized abortion.

Gerald Yeung, with the White Plains campaign of 40 Days of Life, says if the Supreme Court decides to have states to decide their own abortion laws, "the fight from the pro-life movements perspective will then go to individual state houses and courthouses. We are gearing up for that."

The Westchester County District Attorney's Office is investigating the recent incident at the abortion clinic to determine whether anyone illegally interfered with patients receiving access to medical care.

White Plains police tell News 12 all three men involved in Saturday's incident have been charged with trespassing.
