Authorities: Chesnut Ridge man charged with attempted murder for stabbing woman in domestic incident

A Chesnut Ridge man has been charged with attempted murder after allegedly stabbing a woman in a domestic incident.
Ramapo police say they responded to a report of a stabbing at a residence on Sunday morning. Upon arrival, they found a 45-year-old woman with a stab wound to the neck. She was taken to Westchester Medical Center with injuries that were not considered life-threatening.
Officers say they also found the suspect, 50-year-old Jose Cevallos-Moscosco, with self-inflicted injuries. He was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital, treated, released and charged with attempted murder.
Cevallos-Moscosco was arraigned, and authorities say his bail was set at $75,000.
