Authorities: 1 person dead, 2 people in critical condition after drowning in Catskills lake

They say the three victims were in the water for at least 15 minutes before they were rescued.

One person is confirmed dead, and two others are listed in critical condition in the hospital after they were found Sunday in White Lake in the Catskills, according to emergency personnel.
They say Basir Amin, 18, began to struggle in the deep portion of the lake. His sister, Amin Nasir, 21, and his uncle, Afrid Haider, 34, attempted to assist Basir.
All three went under water and did not resurface. 
Responding officers from the Town of Bethel Police rushed into the water to help.
They say the three victims were in the water for at least 15 minutes before they were rescued.
They were administered CPR before they were rushed to Garnet Health Medical Center in Harris where Basir was pronounced dead.
