After a busy day in Westchester, former President Bill Clinton was in Manhattan Monday night to throw his support behind Andrew Cuomo for state attorney general.
At a fundraiser in the Rainbow Room, Clinton let everyone know he was endorsing Cuomo in the attorney general?s race. Clinton says he got to know the oldest son of former New York Governor Mario Cuomo very well during the years the candidate served as the nation's secretary of Housing and Urban Development.
Cuomo supporters say Clinton?s endorsement will make a big difference on Election Day. Meanwhile, Cuomo?s opponent former Westchester District Attorney Jeanine Pirro declined to comment about Clinton?s endorsement of Cuomo. Pirro is currently trying to secure last-minute support in Albany.
