Democratic Assemblywoman Sandy Galef is calling on Gov. Andrew Cuomo to establish a task force that could set a new sexual harassment policy that all state employees would have to follow.
She says separate entities in state government have their own individual policies, which could lead to confusion.
"If you were an Assembly employee and you'd been harassed by a Senate employee, which policy is the one you deal with? Who do you go to?" she asked.
Galef says she hopes the task force could come up with guidelines that would include lawmakers being subject to the policy.
The governor's office has not yet returned a call to comment about the issue.
