New York Assembly lawmakers are pushing for $25 million in funding for public transit and walking-biking trails.
Assembly Member Shelley Mayer says the increased funding would come from additional operating and capital funding. It would include $5 million for the Bee-Line Bus Service.
The proposal also includes $20 million set aside for pedestrian and bike infrastructure improvements.
The final state budget is due next week on April 1
