Assailant wanted in Williamsbridge attack that left man in critical condition

According to the NYPD, the assault happened when an argument turned physical at around 10:40 p.m. on Sept. 8 in front of 3807 White Plains Road.

A 59-year-old man was critically wounded during an attack in the Williamsbridge section of the Bronx and police are searching for the man they say is responsible.

According to the NYPD, the assault happened when an argument turned physical at around 10:40 p.m. on Sept. 8 in front of 3807 White Plains Road.

Police say the man struck the victim in the face and head numerous times.

Paramedics rushed the 59-year-old to Jacobi Hospital, where he remains in critical condition over one month later.

Police released an image of the man who is wanted in connection with the assault. He is seen wearing a white T-shirt, jeans and a white hat.

The NYPD urges anyone with information to call its NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
