While most of the nation has come to a grinding halt because of the coronavirus pandemic, America's truck drivers are steadily rolling ahead.
One of those drivers is Miguel Perez, from Duchess County, who works for Cardinal Health.
“It's been a busy couple of weeks,” he told News 12.
Perez has been delivering medical supplies and medicines to local hospitals.
Another driver named Peter said he’s glad to be helping communities in need, but is aware of the risks involved.
“We got gloves and masks and some protective equipment...trying to stay busy,” he said.
Both truckers tell News 12 that before the coronavirus, truckers were "tolerated" but never celebrated. Now, they say they feel much appreciation from the public.
