Orange County District Attorney David Hoovler issued an arrest warrant for a Newburgh man for failing to appear in court in connection with a shooting and weapons case.
The DA's office and Newburgh Police are asking the public to help locate John DiCaprio.
DiCaprio was arraigned in court on Dec. 15 on two counts of criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree.
He was charged with illegally possessing a .45 caliber revolver and a Glock semiautomatic pistol while in a car in Newburgh.
He was released on bail.
Two days later, he was arrested again on additional charges that included attempted assault and criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree.
The judge set bail in the amount of $10,000, which DiCaprio posted again.
He failed to appear in court on Friday and on Jan. 11.
