A sharp cold front will deliver some brief, gusty storms and damaging wind gusts tonight.
The National Weather Service has issued a high wind watch and a wind advisory for this evening starting at 8 p.m. and continuing through Thursday morning at 8 a.m. The winds will be following the sharp, cold front and will be west at 20 to 30 mph, with gusts up to 60 mph.
Winds could bring down trees and cause power outages. Secure loose objects outside your home, take down decorations prior to bed tonight.
There is a risk of isolated showers and even some thunderstorms, especially for counties north of I-84 this evening.
The rain won't last long and there is a risk that some storms could have powerful wind gusts.
Expect a chillier start tomorrow, as temperatures will drop, with lows falling into the 30s to 40 degrees.
We warm back up briefly for the weekend. More rain heads our way early Saturday and then again on Sunday.
Temperatures turn drastically colder early next week. Temperatures by Veteran's Day will only be in the mid-40s during the daytime.
