Westchester State Sen. Andrea Stewart-Cousins will continue to serve as Senate Majority Leader.

The Senate Democratic Conference voted unanimously to reelect her to the post for the 2025-26 legislative session.

Stewart-Cousins has held the position since 2019 and was first elected to the Senate in 2006.

Her district, the 35th, includes portions of Yonkers and all of Greenburgh and Mount Pleasant.
